Site Hack and Data Loss
5Apologies to everybody for today’s events. The site was hacked in the early hours of this morning a ton of data was removed by the hacker making it non recoverable including mixes and user accounts. The problem is that the automated backup of the site was being made at the same time as the hacker was doing their best to destroy it which means data was lost and has had to be recovered manually.
This has certainly affected many of you directly so please contact the support address (support (at) fantasydj.com) and let me know how we can help.

Status update
0Apologies to those that have been trying to access Fantasy DJ today. The server crashed and there were problems recovering the data so we managed to restore a backup of the site from Monday afternoon.
Although we tried our very best to recover all data, some of it was corrupt so some of you may notice that some mixes are missing (hopefully not many). Hope it hasn’t caused too much trouble.
Some issues with playing mixes
0After last weeks hacker attack there seems to be a few things that are giving problems. The most noticeable one that will affect you is not being able to play mixes after they are recorded. We are looking into it and trying to root out the problem so please bare with us.
Latest changes to Fantasy DJ
2Two changes and fixes have been recently implemented.
- Good news, there is no more private mix download feature so anyone can download anybody else mixes. No more restriction from now on.
- The Guru’s choice for the week was not being updated so never changed. This has now been fixed.

FDJ Coins Are Soon To Be Removed
5We’ll soon be making an important change to the coins and credits system in Fantasy DJ. Coins are soon to be removed and the only currency available will be FDJ credits.
Coming Soon – Uploading Sounds with Credits
14In order to encourage new sounds and mixes, we are currently working on the sound upload system to allow effects and loops to be uploaded with credits. At the moment the system only works with coins so for those who have surplus credits you’ll be able to use these soon as well to buy upload slots.
